Update from the Managing Director, Jerry Sarvadi

 

As most of you know our first Lodge has been under construction for the past 20 months. As with most construction projects the process seemed to continue on and on and on! Everyone gets the feeling the construction will never end! Well we finally got the majority of the construction completed and we now have 9 accommodation rooms, a small pro shop and our 3 changing rooms in a presentable and useable condition. There are pictures attached for you to see. In the end our patience will be rewarded as the rooms are extremely comfortable. If you are planning a visit next year I recommend you reserve the rooms early. We have 3 rooms with two (2) queen beds and six (6) rooms with king beds. The room charge is £200 per night for the interior rooms and £250 per night for the end room suites. You can call our main telephone number 01620 850 901 and ask for either Sue or Carol to make reservation.  

For the next few months the Club will be closed on Monday and Tuesday each week. Beginning December 1st we will commence closing the course four days each week adding Wednesday and Thursday. During this time period, Paul Seago and his maintenance team will be performing various additional functions that will only enhance the course condition in the years to come. Depending on the weather we also intend to rivet a few additional bunkers over this winter period. This time is needed to continue our efforts to attain the goal of developing the best playing conditions possible for our course. In December we will make a decision on the availability of the course during the months of January through March. At the most the course may be open on weekends, but we want to wait until mid December to fully evaluate the fairways. I have included the 2009 Renaissance Club Calendar below as well.

Also during this time period I would like to extend each of you an invitation to “Experience the Lodge” and accordingly we are offering a Lodge room and breakfast for £100 per night per room. Again if you would like to reserve a room please call either Carol or Sue.

In summary thank you for your patience during our first operational year. We have all grown along with the course. We fully intend for our Club and course to continue to progress next year and beyond. Your continued support is very much appreciated!
